Mweya safari lodge is a must for every tourist Uganda. This lodge is found in the middle of Queen Elizabeth national Park. Let come what may, this lodge is above the ordinary standard of Ugandan Culture. Everything to it belongs to 5 star hotels though in the bush.
Unless you want to confine yourself to Kampala, I donât see why miss a country resort like that of Mweya safari resort.
This place is found in western Uganda, some 300 kilometers from Kampala the capital city of Uganda the pearl of Africa.
This resort is in the center to 4 national parks in Western Uganda. One of the national parks is Rwenzori National Park which is found on the Rwenzori Mountains. And if you have been betting to see ice on the equator, then Visit Mountains of the moon in Uganda donât forget your ice skiing material.
Another national park near Mweya safari lodge is Bwindi impenetrable forest national park which is at the border with Congo and Rwanda .This is the only place in the word where you will be able to see the Gorillas, you may call them Ugandaâs gentle giants.
This national park shares its boundaries with Mgahinga national park which is also famous for gorillas .These animals are found in a forest which is still virgin and if you want to see the African tropical forest back to the date of dinosaurs, then visit these 2 national parks.
But what exactly makes Mweya safari lodge tick? After my interaction with the resort workers and the wildlife rangers I came to conclude that the owner of this resort new what was to come out of this venture. Uganda as a pearl of Africa naturally but with many political instabilities, lacked places of leisure and for that matter many workers in Uganda could fry out to other countries at times of their vacations leaving out place like Ugandaâs national parks because they lacked recreational facilities like lodges and safari camps .After these people came from these counties which had good facilities like Kenya, the decided to bring their experience to Uganda.
To tell the truth, everything for your wildlife vacation is at this resort. Among the many attractions in this queen Elizabeth national park are the famous tree climbing lions .No any other place in Uganda one can find tree climbing lions. Because of their numbers, every visitor to this park must find a climbing lion as long as one gets a park guide to direct the exact place to find them.
Notwithstanding the number of wildlife in this park, Mweya safari lodge is located near crater lakes famous for birdlife and salt. Both indigenous and migratory birds are found in this park and for those who like nature, day time will be time to go for wildlife and evenings enjoy your self at mweya safari lodge resort
As a place for many people from different backgrounds, the staffs at this lodge come from different backgrounds too. And for that matter it will be hard for you not to enjoy because the language will never be a barrier. So next time you plan you vacation in Uganda, never forget about Mweya safari lodge in Uganda.

If you want to make your vacation full of adventure then plan an elephant safari tour in India. Explore the national parks on the elephant back and experience the thrill of the ride. You can travel across the swamps and grasslands of Kaziranga in Assam on an elephant back. You can also explore the Tiger Reserve at Manas Tiger Reserve or the Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks riding on an elephant. Elephant safari is the best option for those who want to spot tigers. Elephants are usually used for Tiger-tracking.
Elephant safaris can reach the rough terrains where even jeeps cannot venture. This is one reason why kings and maharajas of the royal era used to ride on an elephant during their hunting ventures and other journeys. Unlike the other animals like camels or horses, a ride on these majestic beasts is much relaxed and convenient.
The elephant safaris comprise a howdah or a large seat. Soft silk cushions are provided on the seat with a ceremonial umbrella over the riders’ head- all these just to make your ride comfortable. The slow and steady movement of the elephant looks very graceful. Exploring the jungle teeming with wildlife is ideal on an elephant back as it gives you an easy excess for viewing the wildlife. During your elephant safari tour, you can also get a glimpse of the wild elephants taking bath in the water ponds.
Elephant Safari in India
Elephant safari tours are very common in India. You can avail elephant safaris at many tourist destinations here. Starting with the north, elephant safari makes the best option for exploring the national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in the Himalayan regions. Many people love the notion of going on an African hunting safari and feeling the cool African air as they cruise through the jungle. The thought of it is enough to create vacation dreams for many North Americans, yet translating those dreams to reality can be a little bit complicated. Regardless, that does not stop people from dreaming away about riding on the back of an elephant and enjoying the company of some locals before watching a lion chomp down on its prey. The adventure and majesty of Africa certainly comes alive during a wonderful safari trip.
The term “safari” simply refers to an overland journey. This term has been used to typically refer to visitors in Africa, although it has no actual geographical connotation. There is also a certain thematic element attached to the term, drawing upon visions of khaki clothing and a certain type of hat. Regardless of the stereotypical connotations of the term “safari”, the term still calls upon some adventurous notions that many people desire to discover for themselves.
The original term was a reference to the early big game hunters that frequented African. Men, typically of European descent, would head to Africa to bask in its glory and to partake in the lay of the land. During this trip, the men would gather in hunting parties and hunt down various rare animals. They would take trophies for themselves and display them on walls back home, as was the custom. It became a variable rite of passage for many men in the higher echelon of European culture, maintaining a status grip over those people for quite a few years before hunting became unfashionable.
These times often represent a brutal passage of time in the history of Africa. The notion was that Africa was a piece of property that belonged to Europe and, therefore, the animals on it also belonged to Europe. The historical significance of these safaris often carried deep-seeded notions of control and power to the extent of slavery over the continent, enabling Europeans to virtually rape and pillage the land at their leisure. To this day, that history plagues many Africans.
Now, the term “safari” refers to taking a photo safari. Instead of shooting animals with bullets and keeping the heads mounted on the hearth, people are taking pictures and putting together various photo displays of the magical animals they have seen while on safari in the beautiful continent. These photo safaris are becoming incredibly popular with people of all ages that wish to have the experience of a lifetime taking in the wilderness and grandeur of the incredible continent of Africa.
Safari parks are rather common in North America to draw upon the distinction of the African safari. This is a zoo-like tourist attraction that creates an environment where people can observe all sorts of exotic animals from a safe vantage point. The safari park is usually walked through or ridden through in a vehicle that would be driven by a guide. The guide describes the animals that are seen and offers a historical context for the park, giving tourists and guests a complete tour of the park and engaging them in knowledgeable conversation.
The game reserves in Africa tend to be a lot larger than a safari park, though. For this reason, most people still wish to head to Africa to see the magic of nature for themselves in as natural a setting as possible. Within the confines of a game reserve or a safari park, people are engaged with the pure wonder of seeing such incredible animals such as the lion or giraffe. As long as such areas are able to protect some of these animals, people will be able to participate in photo safaris for many years to come. The love of animals, exotic and domestic, may well be the greatest ally to the protection of various species threatened with extinction.
