Hi – I am thinking of a safri in Kenya in March and wondered what you think. Is it a good time to go for wildlife/ weather (I will add a week on the beach in Mombasa). Also, I’ve heard that mosquitos are at the most active at this time which worries me as I do get eaten alive when I travel. Any thoughts?

March should be an excellent time to travel, but it really depends on when the "long rains" season begins which typically occurs at the end of the month.
As for the mosquitos I haven’t heard that they are more active in March and they shouldn’t bother you too much on safari, but down at the coast you should make sure to take an anti-malarial.
We advise our clients to buy their anti-malarial on arrival (they are effective and MUCH cheaper than if you bought them at home) and we assist them in that purchase.
