Author: Family of 5 (1 adult, 4 kids). What are the best vacations to take as a family? The cost doesn’t matter. It can be anything from white water rafting to a dude ranch to a safari.
Oh, and I’m not looking for ideas. I’m looking for actual destinations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Seaworld in Orlando would be a blast! Shows, rides, tons of exhibits! Such a great adventure plus a learning experience at the same time. Have fun whereever you decide to go!

our best family vacation was a week in a beach house in south carolina and the road trip to get there and back from new england. but it wasn’t the location so much as the time together that made it awesome.
but we’ve had great family vacations to a lot of places. my second favorite was probably our week in quebec city. the kids were enchanted by all the street performances and cirque du soleil and a boat ride and the funicular, and the adults were just enchanted by the city. there’s a great water park up there, too. though i do have to say that i also have four kids and big families are apparently kind of rare in quebec. you might have thought we had six heads.

All Iberostar resorts. They have them in Mexico, Brazil, Croatia, Cape Verde, Cyprus, The Dominican Republic, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Montenegro, Morrocco, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey.
It’s basically an all inclusive resort. Most are on a beach, and you can go wind-surfing, snorkeling, swim with dolphins, visit national landmarks, etc. They have great food with awesome service, a kids club for when mom and dad wish to get away, and many family and individual activities from volleyball to salsa dance lessons. I would die to go again.
My family has gone to three different Iberostar resorts 6 different times. I will never forget any of those experiances!

I don’t know what state you are from, so this may not sound exciting to you, but last year we went to surfside beach South Carolina. we don’t have a long fun summer where I live so this was fun. They have a ton of beach houses that you can rent. Look up surfside beach south carolina and it gives you pictures and stuff. there are lots to do. we stayed a few streets (walking distance) from the beach (it tells you how far each house is). There was broadway at the beach which was like a board walk with fun things to do. There was also a little aquarium adventure that was pretty fun. and an aligator adventure. They have dolphin cruises. Lots and lots of putt-putt places and lots of places to eat. my kids at the time were 6 and 8months. My son loved it! he wants to go back!

Our best family vacation was when we didn’t really go anywhere. We decided to vacation in our own state. We live in Florida so it was easy to find things to do. We went to St. Augustine, Cocoa Beach, Old Town in Kissimmee, Disney World and spent a couple of days in the pool at home relaxing.

My favorite vacation was when we went to Ortley Beach, NJ this summer. We rented a shore house for two weeks and I had the best time, we went to the beach and swam and the lifeguards there were amazing, it was clean and friendly and a great area with so much to do.
